Meet Mechelle
Mechelle Merkerson is an International Cigar Education Specialist who curates unique cigar education experiences for private, corporate, and wedding groups. She designs immersive cigar events that delve into the craftsmanship, flavor, and pairing of cigars, while also offering consulting services to enhance the audience engagement and brand presence of cigar brands and lounges.
Active in the cigar industry since 2018, Mechelle launched her video show, Cigars with 'M', in July 2022. This show has now grown to feature 205 educational episodes, creating a comprehensive library for both new and seasoned cigar enthusiasts.
In 2025, she hosted 25 VIP 'Cigar Education with Mechelle' classes, each showcasing a different manufacturer and providing hands-on, immersive experiences. Most recently, Mechelle was honored as the first-ever cigar education resident at Buddy’s DC, a role she will continue into June 2026, further expanding her impact on the cigar community.
Through her show, events, and bespoke experiences, including her popular series, Moments with Mechelle, she remains a dynamic educator and advocate, shaping how people experience and appreciate cigars.
